I'm sure most of us have the capability to read, otherwise would we bother with internet forums... anyway, what have you read recently...
Viking Odinn's Child by Tim Severn. Part 1 of 3. Pretty cool book based on the upbringing of a young boy who is describing his life in the year 999. Very interesting. Mael Mordha is even mentioned in it which I got a kick out of. If your into you Norse history this is very interesing.

We are all very proud of you for that, but I was thinking of something that contained pages, maybe a cover... and words in it too so we can rule out the picture only books that you're so fond of.

Ah yeah, was tempted to by that the odd time, ususally when I was in Eason's in Shop Street. Never did though. Are you sure you didn't misplace it while under the influence??

I looked about the place for it earlier today, but no sign of it. I read the first few chapters, and it was interesting.

Perhaps it's his other work: "Twilight Of The Idols" that sounds familar - recent Gorgoroth album of the same name etc?
Edit: Also - Emperor song, "Thus Spake The Nightspirit"...

Contary to popular belief he didn't actually have many anti-semetic ~ facist sentiments, in fact he had a falling out with Richard Wagner whom he was close friends with at the time over some of his beliefs.. It was an "unfortunate" mistake for Freidrich that his usage of the word "ubermensch" was mistranslated as "The Superman" - hence the Nazi affiliation, in fairness though Hitler was very much inspired by his works... and at surface level their beliefs seem quite similar or compatible, dig deeper however and it's very clear they had different ideologies when it came to the extermination of people on the basis of religion ~ disability and so on. He intended "ubermensch" to be interpretated as: "Overman", self-affirmation etc. I suppose it'd be fair to call Nietzsche "the godfather of nihilism", quite the title I suppose.
Anyways enough brain scratching for me, i'm rather tired and not really up to anything too intellectual.. sleep will be here soon (at least I hope it will).
